/// Intrawest Placemaking was searching for an intranet that would create an avenue for knowledge sharing, create a way for subject matter experts to engage in conversation and share their ideas, problems and solutions. Their Human Resources department had a vision to engage and inspire employees through news, success stories and effective communication from leaders. And most importantly, the intranet needed to support the Intrawest resort development process, contributing to Intrawest's annual revenues of $1.6 billion.
Working with One Intranets and OpenRoad Communications, Placemaking was able to articulate their vision for the intranet, describing their organizational needs and communicating their values. OpenRoad built the Placemaking Portal using ThoughtFarmer, our intranet content management tool.
Placemaking's new intranet launched in April 2006 and provides end-users with a superior user experience. Placemaking employees can easily find, create, and update content throughout the intranet, fostering collaboration and community within this North-America wide organization.
